Woke early this Saturday morning. Still feeling unsettled I prepped the old road bicycle and set off for Ocean Beach. Even though it’s cool out, I’m warm since I’m wearing arms and long pants.
On the Great Highway traffic was light. No other bikes were going in my direction, towards the Cliff House. I climbed the hill through Point Lobos, circled through Lincoln Park, around the parking lot at the Palace of the Legion of Honor and coasted through Seacliff. I now sit outside Crissy Field Center. Weather is coming in. The parking lot here is nearly full. Everybody is getting in some outdoors before the storm.
If Golden Gate Park is the city’s back yard, Crissy Field is its front porch.
