Here’s what happens when you plan an event and don’t properly scout your location. These folks planned a demonstration at the corner of Mission and Fremont Streets. This is where traffic flowing off the Bay Bridge into the Financial District is deposited. On any given Friday afternoon it would be packed with cars and people headed into the city who would see their message. Except today, because the crew building the new Transbay Terminal have been announcing for months that the road would be shut down starting midday Friday, and stay closed the rest of the three-day weekend.
This was actually written some time ago, but had been sitting in draft for months. I discovered it when I wanted to post another event, which will happen later. I don’t like it when this happens, but I do it to myself.
